Logan's birthday party (#6)

We had  a wonderful evening at Joe & Shannon's house celebrating Logan's 6th birthday.  Here's Ava Grace 'waiting for Bubby' (her pet name for brother Logan).

She livened up doing bubbles with Grandma Lisa.  This girl loves bubbles!

"He's here!  Bubby is here!"

He likes bubbles too.

We had a great meal & it was a lovely evening on the new deck at the Oakes.'  When Scott & Logan sat down to eat, Logan spied Scott's left arm with 2 incisions from his recent surgery and said, "Scott, could you turn your arm to the other side?"  ...so Scott put his arm under the table :)

Ava would rather play music & games on Shannon's I-phone than eat.

Time for gifts...yes, Ava is still on the I-phone.

...but then she got interested.  What is it?

Wow!  a laser light saber

...and when I can catch Mom unaware of the camera, she laughs...looking great for her 90 years and 11 1/2 months.

Those birthday cards are special too.

...a 'never quit' tee-shirt.  Perfect for our all-star baseball player.

a Lightning McQueen lunchbox...  when Kelley asked Logan for a birthday idea he said, "A lunchbox, in case I don't like what they have for lunch at school."

Cool!  a motorized car & ramp.

...the best of helmets...and in his other hand?  keys to a new 4-wheeler!  Boy! Oh, boy!

On to the cake....if we didn't have Lisa in this family, we would be up to the thousands of dollars spent on awesome birthday cakes!

...both are proud.  ...and this Aunt is proud of both of them!

Yeah!  The candles are out!

...back to the deck and it is really awesome!

...a butterfly visits

Indeed, a lovely evening and I captured this sunset as we drove home.  I believe it's a sun rainbow :)
