babysitting Ava

 What could be sweeter than watching a 4-week old learning to express herself?  Yesterday, I cared for my great-niece, Ava Grace.  She is starting to vocalize and enjoys face to face contact.  Sooo sweet :)

guard cat??  I finally had to quarantine Piston.  She wanted to be RIGHT by Ava...even putting her nose into Ava's hair and licking it when I was trying to give Ava her bottle.  What is it about babies that animals can't resist? 

Well, I think I know the answer to that, don't you?

Welcoming great-niece Ava Grace Delaney

Ava Grace Delaney joined our family on Tuesday, February 1... proud parents Derrick and Kelley (Kemp) Delaney and excited brother Logan Scott.

The Super-Bowl party was a great time to cuddle and get better acquainted with our new little doll.  She is a darling.

 

Ava is MeMe's 8th great-grandchild.  MeMe (aka Mom, Gram, MomMom) is 88 years old.

               Isn't she lovely?  Isn't she wonderful?  Isn't she precious?
