Yesterday we took a "just-go-wandering" road trip. Left Corydon, wandered through Salem and wandered into Spring Mill State Park at Mitchell. a lovely day..cool breeze..beautiful sky..and a great place for sauntering.
Young and old like to wade in the Mill Creek..spring-fed, cold water...BUT there are snakes in there. We saw one!
The old Grist Mill is still working and is the main centerpoint of the Pioneer Village with an Apothecary, Tavern, Pottery Shop, Leather Shop, Blacksmith Shop, Carriage House, Weaver's shop ... well, you get the "picture." ...and the pioneer-clad characters give you facts IF you desire them, or let you just continue to stroll if that is what you choose. I liked that!
..I loved the sight & sound of the bubbling creek...and, of course, I loved the flowers.
